Wake up to hot topics in international arbitration – Vienna meets Moscow!

The Freshfields arbitration teams in Moscow, Vienna and Paris are hosting a breakfast event on Wednesday, 12 February 2020 at Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow to mark the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC) recently becoming the first European arbitral institution to receive the status of a licensed Permanent Arbitration Institution in Russia.

The morning will be filled with a range of presentations of hot topics in arbitration, as well as networking opportunities:

  • Alice Fremuth-Wolf, Secretary General of the VIAC will discuss VIAC's offering to Russian users of arbitration;
  • Niamh Leinwather, Principal Associate, Freshfields, Vienna will explain the relevance and potential advantages of Vienna as a place of arbitration;
  • Eric Leikin, Principal Associate, Freshfields, Vienna will speak about third-party funding; and
  • Alexey Yadykin, Counsel, Freshfields, Moscow will address using VIAC for commercial and post-M&A disputes relating to Russia.

Breakfast will be served beginning at 9am, and the presentations will start at 9.30am.
