CEE Finance and Capital Markets Workshops in Vienna 6th to 7th of October 2016

Clients and local counsel alike attended the annual Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Vienna CEE finance and capital markets workshops 6–7 October 2016.

Led by Florian Klimscha and Blair Day, this year’s finance workshop focused on workouts and restructuring. After an update on Austria and various CEE jurisdictions, three roundtable discussions provided deeper insights into hot topics like formal versus informal restructuring, restructuring of debt with multiple creditors and restructuring in regulated environments. Arguably the highlight of this year´s CEE finance workshop was the keynote given by Raj Apte, Head of Restructuring CEE and SEE at EY.

The Capital Markets Workshop, led by Stephan Pachinger, offered an overview of recent market developments across borders and focused on regulatory insights in various jurisdictions including legal developments regarding covered bonds. The workshop was concluded by Andrew Hagan from Freshfields London sharing his views and insights on high yield bonds in CEE.

Lawyers from the following StrongerTogether firms joined this year´s workshops:

Aequo, BDK Advokati, Boyanov & Co, Jadek & Pensa, Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen, Oppenheim, PRK Partners, Savoric & Partners, Soltysinski Kawecki & Szlezak, Sorainen
